NFL’s lack of respect for flag lost veteran as a fan | Letter

The disgraceful display of multi-millionaire football players kneeling during our national anthem on the anniversary of the 9/11 anniversary changed that. It might be “free speech” to disrespect our flag, but my free speech allows me to write this and to turn off my TV set.

Editor,

I’m a former NFL fan.

The disgraceful display of multi-millionaire football players kneeling during our national anthem on the anniversary of the 9/11 anniversary changed that. It might be “free speech” to disrespect our flag, but my free speech allows me to write this and to turn off my TV set.

The league fined players with stars and stripes on their shoes $3,000 that day. The league is the problem.

Sign me a disgusted Vietnam vet.
