The Whidbey Island Marathon is just one more reason for Waste Management to love this community.

Every other day of the year, we value the city of Oak Harbor and Whidbey Island as a healthy and vibrant “home base” for our 157 employees. We are proud to be the second largest employer in the city. We are also grateful to the community for providing a professional and stable workforce since we moved our call center here in December 2008.

But this time of year, above all others, is truly a shining moment for this community. The welcoming spirit that the community demonstrates throughout the marathon events makes all of us at Waste Management feel like winners, because of our roots in Oak Harbor. Congratulations on another successful marathon, and thank you to everyone who works year round to make this community a great place to call home.
