Letter: The people have voted to kick Trump off ballot

Editor,

I find it laughable that people like Mr. Bob Spitzer, among others, continue to say “it’s the voters that should decide” whether Trump should be off the ballot. Recalling from civics and U.S. history classes, the 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution was ratified way back in 1868 by two-thirds of the States. This was adopted by the people through their state legislators.

The “democratic values” and “democratic system” he refers to has already been utilized with the 14th Amendment to exclude Trump from the ballot. It’s not censorship. The voters have already decided he should be off the ballot.
