Letter: Shouldn’t give opinion space to ‘talking points’

Editor,

As frequently as you publish opinion pieces — propaganda — from Fred Wilferth of Coupeville, you should be charging him advertising rates.

This level of vitriol and hate week after week does not belong in a “hometown” newspaper.

Whidbey News-Times surely has other people who want to speak out about issues we can all get behind and that would make a difference to our community.

We don’t need talking points and propaganda shoved down our throats every week.

This opinion is my own, and is not that of the chamber.
