End is near for land trust drive

What if you could sit down today and help protect the largest tract of forest land on Whidbey Island? What if you could save 100 acres? What about 300 acres? You can help to permanently protect 664 acres of forest that stretches from South Whidbey State Park to Bush Point.

Saving this forest will be a gift to future generations. The Whidbey Camano Land Trust has until June 10 to raise the $4.2 million needed to ensure this forest is a community treasure forever. If we are fortunate enough to have grandchildren, I hope they will be able to thank our generation for saving this forest instead of wondering why we lost the opportunity.

Please join my family, and many others, and sit down today and make any level of contribution you can. You can donate online at www.savetheforestnow.org, call the Land Trust office at 360-222-3310, or drop-off or mail a check to WCLT, 765 Wonn Road, Barn C-201, Greenbank, WA 98253. Time is running out . . . together we can Save the Forest Now.
