Candidate Hayes has no substance

At the League of Women Voters forum in Anacortes, a question came up about timber sales and how they relate to funding education. Every candidate, including his opponent Tom Riggs, had a thoughtful answer and explanation – except for Dave Hayes who said, “I don’t really understand how those two things are connected [chuckle, chuckle].”

How can he claim that funding education is his main priority when he doesn’t even understand that the Department of Natural Resources funds our schools through timber sales? Hayes is all style and no substance, and the absolutely wrong choice for state representative.

In contrast, Tom Riggs constantly has specific policy positions and answers to questions and should be our choice for state representative.
