Any way COER spins it, group is clearly ‘anti-Navy’

Editor,

COER, I won’t belabor the fact that the OLF Coupeville was there when you moved in. If it bothers you, move.

In the past, you suggested that all landing practices be moved to Oak Harbor.

I guess noise isn’t unhealthy if it is up here. We in Oak Harbor have planes landing seven days a week, 24 hours a day, not just a few days a week.

And, in answer to John Marshall’s letter, it is obvious you have never been on an aircraft carrier.

First, the carrier must be under way to create wind over the deck to help the pilots meet the ship at a lower speed.

Because the ship looks as small as a postage stamp, it is very stressful trying to land on it.

Without lots of practice on a large, open runway, with lots of room for error, most Navy pilots would never make it to retirement.

You may put any spin on it you want, but boils down to you “are” just anti-Navy.
