The public is invited to attend and participate in the VFW Riders motorcycle group’s first Chili cook off Saturday, Oct. 15 at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post on Goldie Road in Oak Harbor.

The event gets underway at 1 p.m., judging will take place from 4:30 to 5 p.m. Cost to enter is $5 and cost to come and enjoy all you can eat chili is also $5. Participants should register at the VFW Hall. Proceeds will be used to establish a VFW Riders scholarship fund for high school students.
