NHOH welcomes three leaplings

Three youngsters made a Leap Day entrance into the world at Naval Hospital Oak Harbor.

Landon James Arios was born at 12:31 a.m. to AD2 Winnie and Kira Arios (VAQ-133 Wizards). Mom and dad are both from Eleele, Hawaii. Landon weighed in at 6 pounds, 2 ounces and measured 20.5 inches.

Noah William Martin was born at 3:58 p.m. to Lt. j. g. Erik and Sylvia Martin (VP-46 Grey Knights). Erik and Sylvia hail from Fairfax, Va. and Glastonbury, Conn., respectively. Noah weighed 8 pounds, 1 ounce and measured 21 inches.

DaShaun Carlton Wilson was born at 10:03 p.m. to EN2 Dwight  and Leah Wilson (Naval Ocean Processing Facility). DaShaun’s parents consider Tacoma their hometown. Big brothers DaRon, 3, and DeVonte, 1, welcomed DaShaun, who weighed 7 pounds 3.5 ounces and measured 20.5 inches.

According to the NAS Whidbey public affairs office, all moms were doing well and all said they didn’t plan to have a Leap Day baby, it just turned out that way.

All three tykes are eligible to join the Honor Society of Leap Year Day Babies, a free membership birthday club celebrating those born on Feb. 29.
