What’s the best restaurant on Whidbey Island? Who’s the best firefighter, barista and dog groomer?

Readers get to vote on the answers to these burning questions as Best of Whidbey 2022 kicks into a second round of voting.

In August, readers nominated their favorite businesses and people in a veritable cornucopia of categories. The top four nominees in each category have been tabulated and now people can choose their favorites from the contenders at vote.whidbeynewstimes.com. People can vote once a day.

The round of voting continues until Oct. 3.

You can vote on your desktop, laptop, tablet or smart phone. It’s easy and free to do. It doesn’t cost a cent to appear in the contest and nobody has to advertise, though it is the advertising support that makes the contest possible.

Winners will be announced in a special section that will publish on Oct. 29.
