I want to thank Island Transit for sharing its birthday celebration with us, the public. For almost eight years I commuted to Boeing using Island Transit, and loved the experience.

My grandson and I took the party bus from Teronda West down to Freeland, and back, just so we could be part of the celebration.

There was a shared giant candy bar. I received a pair of beautiful socks, and my grandson received a hat, mini first aid kit and a mini soft football.

For me, the best part was the musical entertainment, my deceased mother’s absolute favorite musical group, the Shifty Sailors.

They were actually on the party bus, both ways. Funny how that worked out considering all the party buses going at that time and all the musicians participating.

Thank you for all the good times over the years, I for one am very grateful we have you.
