North Whidbey Aquatic Club’s Haley Borja was chosen by Pacific Northwest Swimming to represent the region at the Western Age Group Zone Championships Aug. 9-12 in Roseville, Calif.

PNS is the area chapter of USA Swimming and will send a team of all-stars, including Borja, to the Zone Championships.

“(This is) quite an honor,” NWAC coach Dick Taylor said.

Borja, 9, has the best times in the Pacific Northwest in six events among her age group of about 350 swimmers.
