Theft: Flowers were a memorial
Published 8:00 pm Wednesday, May 1, 2002
To the person who took the flowers from off the guardrail near the accident site on Highway 20. Each time you look at them please realize that they are a memorial to a wonderful person, Linda Cook. They were placed there to give testimony to the fact that Linda was a vibrant, joyful lady. Their color signified her love for God’s creation. They were potted, as opposed to cut, to signify her love and high regard for life. There was a variety to symbolize her many talents. They were in a solid wooden container as a reminder of her strong foundation and solid walk with her Lord. Hundreds will miss her. Your selfish act will not taint our memory. But I hope you will either return them or think twice before taking something so precious again.
