The Port of Coupeville is seeking proposals from groups or people interested in managing the Greenbank Farm.
Port commissioners will accept proposals until Wednesday, Sept. 24.
The current Greenbank Farm Management Group’s contract ends in June 2015.
Proposals should include management plans for the entire 151-acre property, which includes historic structures and a handful of businesses.
The property is home to many agricultural, commercial and recreational programs and includes environmentally sensitive areas.
It was purchased by the port in 1997 through a community effort to save the property from development.
Port Executive Director Tim McDonald said he knows of one other entity that has expressed interest in reviewing the port’s request for proposals.
“We really mean for this to be an open solicitation,” McDonald said. “I look forward to creative proposals.”
Once the submission period ends, commissioners will begin reviewing proposals and work toward selecting and working with whichever proposal is chosen.
