Historian Lynn Hyde will lead a one-hour tour of the historic Sunnyside Cemetery, on Cemetery Road in Coupeville 1-2 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 7.

“The tour is more than a stroll through an old cemetery. Lynn has really done her research on the early settlers of this area, and really brings their stories to life,” said Rick Castellano, executive director of the Island County Historical Museum. “I think the best way to understand local history is to better understand those who were here before us.”

The tours, started years ago by Roger Sherman are traditionally offered twice per year; on Memorial Day and Labor Day.
