Featured Artist for February at THE GARRY OAK GALLERY in downtown Oak Harbor is Pacific Northwest Wildlife Photographer CJ Hockett. Hockett works with high resolution digital cameras and long telephoto lenses, to photograph wildlife on Whidbey Island and throughout the Northwest. The gallery, 830 SE Pioneer Way, is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., seven days a week.

Whidbey Island Center for the Arts is seeking applicants for the 2009/10 LOCAL ARTIST SERIES, launched in 2001 to create opportunities for Whidbey artists to perform at the Langley theater.
