The following were gathered from calls made to the Island County Sheriff’s office:
Wednesday, Nov. 25
At 9:44 a.m., a Saratoga Road resident reported that a neighbor put up a sign on the property line that says “a witch lives here.”
At 10:55 a.m., a Cherry Street resident reported that the house was ransacked. A utility trailer and tools were stolen.
At 5:17 p.m., a caller reported that he was unable to remember where he parked his car after hiking in the Deception Pass area.
At 5:30 p.m., there was a report that a package was stolen from the front porch of a Rhododendron Drive house.
Thursday, Nov. 26
At 5:23 p.m., a caller reported that a man was lying on the side of the highway near Patmore Road.
At 5:48 p.m., a resident reported hearing yelling and screaming at a homeless camp at the end of Amberwood Lane.
At 6:52 p.m., a Sills Road resident reported that a man drove up the driveway and said he was an officer of Jesus for the world.
Friday, Nov. 27
At 7:55 a.m., a Nubian Way resident said he was concerned about piracy and threats to kill.
At 12:11 p.m., a caller reported that a mattress and other items were dumped on Crosby Road.
At 12:40 p.m., a love seat was reportedly stolen from a El Polo Street location.
At 12:50 p.m., an East Sleeper Road resident reported that someone broke into the barn and stole a motor and tools.
At 2:12 p.m., a caller reported that someone broke into a Possession Ridge Lane home. The house was ransacked.
At 3:35 p.m., a caller reported that tools were stolen from a shed on Bells Beach Road.
At 3:37 p.m., a caller from the hospital ER reported that a child was bitten by a dog but the mom wouldn’t say where it occurred.
At 3:42 p.m., a Taylor Road resident reported finding chickens on her property.
At 5:18 p.m., a resident reported that for two nights vehicles going to the Blue Fox Drive In were blocking the highway in both directions as they waited to turn.
At 8:57 p.m., a driver reported that a Land Rover was weaving in and out of traffic on Oak Harbor Road and the driver was flipping people off.
At 9:27 p.m., a caller reported that World War II rifles were stolen from a Ollom Drive home.
At 11:07 p.m., a caller on Lyon Road reported finding a brick of cocaine in a junk car that’s being rebuilt.
At 11:57 a.m., a burglary was reported on Cherry Street.
Monday, Nov. 30
At 8:52 a.m., a Forest Lane resident reported that a neighbor was cutting down trees on association property.
At 2:46 p.m., a man reported that two pieces of equipment were stolen from a shop off Ault Field Road.
At 2:46 p.m., a caller reported he was offsite but could see on a security camera that an intruder with a mask was in his garage on Twin Pine Drive.
At 3:47 p.m., a Cerullo Drive resident reported that tools were stolen from a barn.
At 5:38 p.m., a Patriot Way resident reported finding two goats in her garage.
Tuesday, Dec. 1
At 11:40 a.m., the Navy reported that drone exercises would be happening in the afternoon.
At 2:03 p.m., an East Frostad Road resident reported that hunters in a kayak were shooting toward his property.
Wednesday, Dec. 2
At 12:16 a.m., a caller reported receiving a video from a sailor who was in a car and trying to kill himself with carbon monoxide.
At 3:20 a.m., a caller on Sun Vista Circle reported that his roommates burned his Bible, which was written by Jesus and had a cover made from human skin.
At 6:01 a.m., a Cedar View Drive resident reported that “a larger group of people” have been on his roof that night.
At 7 a.m., a driver reported that his VW Beetle “slid” in the water off Madrona Way.
At 7:51 a.m., an East Sleeper Road reported that a black cow had been loose and wandering in the area for months.
At 1:33 p.m., a Maple Avenue resident reported that designer bags, furs and clothing were stolen.
At 6:49 p.m., a caller reported that the resident of a Northeast Center Street home had the drapes open and pornography playing on a large-screen TV. The caller reported seeing it on several occasions.
