Battling wind, rain and Arlington, the Oak Harbor High School girls golf team lost its Wesco North opener 274-332 to the Eagles Thursday, March 22, at the Whidbey Golf Club.

Arlington’s Mailihn Vu took medalist honors with an 11-over 47 over nine holes.

Oak Harbor’s Beth Paul shot a 49 to finish second among individuals. The Eagles posted the next five best scores to claim the match.

Danalin Metro fired a 64 for Oak Harbor, Natasha Decker had a 69, Makenna Ronning 71, Chelsea Lonborg 79 and Jazmine Aguello 80.

The Wildcats play Everett at 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, at the Legion Memorial Golf Course.
