Oak Harbor loses at Shorecrest / Girls golf

The Oak Harbor High School girls golf team opened the season with a 244-292 loss to Shorecrest at Jackson Park Thursday, March 15.

Four Wildcats played from the tee boxes, led by Beth Paul with a 65 over nine holes. Natasha Decker shot 75, Makenna Ronning 72 and Jasmine Aguello 78. Two played from the 150s: Chelsea Lonborg (66) and Danalin Matro (72).

Oak Harbor hosts its annual Whidbey Shootout, this year featuring 18 teams, at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 20, at the Whidbey Golf Club.
