Hilborn receives WIAA honor

Coupeville junior baseball player Matt Hilborn was selected as the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association 1A Male Athlete of the Week.

Hilborn was honored for his efforts in Coupeville’s 7-3 win over Lynden Christian Saturday, March 10.

At the plate, Hilborn collected two hits, two runs and two RBI.

He also finished the game on the mound, tossing two innings of shutout ball with two strikeouts and no walks.
