Northwest United Boys FC03, behind two goals and two assists from Oak Harbor’s Matt Kelley, won the 2017 Rush Cup in Burlington this weekend.

Northwest United finished the tournament 3-0-1.

Kelley had an assist in the championship game, which Northwest United won 3-2 on goal kicks over the Washington Rush Sunday.

NWU and the Rush tied 0-0 in pool play Saturday, then were tied again, 2-2, after regulation in Sunday’s title game.

Northwest United out-shot the Rush 4-2 in goal kicks to break the tie and claim the championship.

Kelley and his team wrap up the summer season at the Rimland Challenge in Bellingham this weekend.
