Stewart wins national award / Baseball

Anthony Stewart, an Oak Harbor High School graduate and a junior on the University of Minnesota Crookston baseball team, was named to the American Baseball Coaches Association Rawlings NCAA Division II Gold Glove Team June 21.
Stewart, one of nine chosen for the DII Gold Glove team, is the first Crookston player to win any national award.
Steward played center field for the Golden Eagles, recording a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage, 125 putouts and five assists.
He also hit .332 and led the team with 47 runs, five home runs and 34 RBI.
Stewart was a member of All-Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference second team this past season and received a NSIC Gold Glove.
