Wolves wrap up third straight title / Tennis

The Coupeville High School tennis team clinched its third consecutive Olympic League title by defeating host Klahowya twice Thursday, April 27.
The Wolves are 4-0 in conference play with two matches left. The Eagles fell to 2-3; Chimacum is 0-3.
Coupeville has not lost a conference match since the formation of the Olympic League 1A division three years ago.
Thursday, the Wolves beat Klahowya 5-2 in the opening match, completing a half-finished contest that was halted by rain April 18. Coupeville won the second match by the same score.
The Wolves (6-3) go to Granite Falls (2-2) for a non-league match at 3:30 p.m. Monday, May 1, and then travel to Chimacum for a 4 p.m. match Thursday, May 4.
