Oak Harbor takes 16th at Burlington Invitational / Girls golf

The Oak Harbor High School girls golf team placed 16th out of 23 teams at the 25th Annual Burlington-Edison Invitational Monday, April 17, at the Skagit Valley Golf and Country Club.
Three athletes played 18 holes and three played nine holes for each team, and the highest nine-hole score was dropped to determine final team scores.
Mercer Island won the tournament with a 365. Oak Harbor carded 485.
Brittany Kwon of Central Kitsap took medalist honors out of 116 golfers with a 75.
For Oak Harbor, Jessica Monaghan shot 110, Makayln Miller 118 and Kaleigh Burbank 131 over 18 holes. Beth Paul had a 60, Natasha Decker a 66 and Dana Cornejo a 70 over nine holes.
The Wildcats play in the Cashmere Invitational at 3 p.m. Thursday, April 20, at the Gamble Sands Golf Course.
