Wolves run by PA / Tennis

A sweep of the singles matches helped the Coupeville High School tennis team topple host Port Angeles 5-2 Thursday, March 30.
The win was the first this spring for the Wolves in four matches.
The highlight of the afternoon was Fanny Deprelle’s win in second singles. The foreign exchange student battled for 2.5 hours for a 6-7(5-7), 6-2, 10-7 comeback win.
Valen Trujillo (6-0, 6-2) and Bree Daigneault (6-3, 6-0) won the other singles matches.
With regular partner Payton Aparicio unable to play, Sage Renninger teamed up with her sister Avalon to win first doubles 6-2, 7-5.
Maggie Crimmins and Kameryn St. Onge captured third doubles 6-2, 6-3.
Zoe Trujillo and Tai Wurzrainer fell in second doubles 6-2, 6-4; and Claire Mietus and Sophie Furtjes lost 6-2, 6-0 in fourth doubles.
Coupeville (1-3) goes to North Kitsap (5-0) at 4 p.m. Monday, April 10.
