The Oak Harbor High School wrestling team won three of four matches at the Storm Duals at Bellingham’s Squalicum High School Tuesday, Dec. 20.

The duals featured four teams from the South (Oak Harbor, Marysville-Pilchuck, Jackson and Archbishop Murphy) against four teams from the North (Squalicum, Ferndale, Sehome and Bellingham).

No team scoring was kept, but Oak Harbor coach Larry Falcon said by his count the Wildcats defeated Squalicum, Sehome and Bellingham and lost to seventh-ranked Ferndale.

Falcon, who is traveling for the holidays and did not have the individual results to share, said, “The matches and duals went really well. We showed excellent growth and continued development.”

The Wildcats (2-2) return to Wesco action when they host Everett (6-1) at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6.

The Oak Harbor girls compete in a tournament in Sedro-Woolley Dec. 31.
