Wildcats begin competitive season / Cheer

The Oak Harbor High School cheer squad began its competitive season at the Holiday Invitational at Kentwood High School Saturday, Dec. 17.

“Both squads had excellent routines,” coach Kimberly Schmal said. “The varsity’s routine was well executed but they did not place.”

The Wildcat junior varsity team was the only squad in its division, so it took first place, Schmal said.

Oak Harbor travels to Gig Harbor for the Harbor CheerFest Saturday, Jan. 7.
