Wildcats nip Meadowdale 3-2 | Volleyball

The Oak Harbor High School volleyball team began its conference season with a thrilling 3-2 win over host Meadowdale Thursday, Sept. 15.

The Mavericks easily won the first and fourth games (25-13, 25-15), while Oak Harbor captured the second and third sets (25-20, 25-23) before taking the tense final 15-12.

The Wildcat effort was lead by Hailee Blau (22 kills, 4.5 blocks), Andrea Rubin (32 assists, 13 digs), Cami Bristow (nine kills, three aces, 12 digs), Lauren May (16 digs) and Julie Jansen (five blocks).

Oak Harbor (1-0, 2-1) plays at Stanwood (1-0, 1-1) at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20.
