COER members failed to do due diligence | Letter

Editor,

Hooray for the staunchly American judge who threw the anti-American Citizens of Ebey’s Reserve out of court in their socialistic attempt to get the rest of us to pay them for their failure to do any sort of due diligence in the purchase of property and what they now view as a mistaken move to Island County.

All the while ignoring the fact that they are removing the chance to train for their jobs from the men and women of our Navy who dedicate their lives to protecting us and keeping us safe, and who rely on this training to be able to do their jobs well and safely.

The Navy was here long before most of them ever came to our island, and in past times the Navy operated more than double the number of training flights per year than they do now — more than 18,000 per year compared to the present less than 7,000 flights per year. So, how could these protesters have anything to stand on or anyone else to blame except their own grievous error in relocating to a place they were going to hate?

Island Transit is free and will be happy to take them off the island.

Aloha Oe
