Wolves grab 3 firsts in 4-team meet | Track

Coupeville picked up three firsts at a four-team track meet Thursday, April 12, at King’s.

Mitch Pelroy (200, 23.66) and Madison Tisa-McPhee (100 hurdles, 17.39) added wins to their successful spring, and the girls 4×200 relay team of Anna Bailey, Jai’Lysa Hoskins, Grace LaPoint and Marissa Etzell collected the other win (1:58.42).

Coupeville ended fourth in both team standings. King’s (108) won the boys, followed by Granite Falls (71), Sultan (57) and Coupeville (28). In girls, King’s won (130), followed by Sultan (64), Granite Falls (37) and Coupeville (34).

Pelroy also finished second in the 100 (11.82) and fifth in the long jump (18-04.25). Tisa-McPhee was second in the 300 hurdles (52.33).

Coupeville also picked up seconds from Larry Hurlburt (400, 54.53), Nick Streubel (discus, 106-03), Cassidi Rosenkrance (800, 2:56.76) and the girls 4×400 relay of Bailey, Rosenkrance, Katie Smith and LaPoint (4:33.79).

The Wolves face King’s at 4 p.m. Thursday, April 19, in Coupeville’s only home meet.
