3 Oak Harbor teams reach youth football title games

Three Oak Harbor youth football teams competed in their North Cascade Football League divisional championship games with the local Pee Wee League team snaring a win.

The Oak Harbor Pee Wee club (7- and 8-year-olds) upset previously undefeated Sedro-Woolley 20-6 Oct. 29 for the title.

During the regular season, Oak Harbor fell to Sedro-Woolley 8-6 for its only loss.

The Junior League Jaguars (11- and 12-year-olds) lost their title match 12-6 to Ferndale Nov. 5 when Ferndale scored on a 50-yard pass on the game’s final play. The Jaguars went 7-0 during the regular season, including a 6-0 win over Ferndale.

The Senior League Wildcats (13-year-olds) reached the championship game by unending previously unbeaten Ferndale. In the title tilt, the Wildcats lost to Sedro-Woolley 33-8, nearly a copy of a 32-8 loss to Sedro-Woolley during the regular season.
