Wolves fall to Falcons / Tennis

While the Coupeville High School tennis program has piled up numerous conference titles over the past decade, it can’t seem to solve the puzzle of South Whidbey.

The Falcons continued their dominance over the Wolves with a 6-1 season-opening win over visiting Coupeville Tuesday, March 14.

Coupeville juniors Sage Renninger and Payton Aparicio captured first doubles 6-2, 7-5 for the Wolves’ only win.

Monday’s match at Port Angeles was rained out and rescheduled for Thursday, March 30.

Sequim visits at 3:15 p.m. Thursday, March 16, for Coupeville’s home opener.
