Cedar Park Christian took control early on the way to defeating the Coupeville High School boys basketball team 70-27 Tuesday, Jan. 15, in Bothell.

The Eagles scooted to an 18-6 lead in the first quarter and led 36-15 at halftime.

Cedar Park Christian (3-2, 7-8) then blanked the Wolves in the third quarter to go up 56-15.

Mason Grove topped Coupeville in scoring with 8 points; Hawthorne Wolfe added 5, Sean Toomey-Stout 4, Jakobi Pilgrim 3, Daniel Olson 3, Gavin Knoblich 2 and Jean Lund-Olsen 2.

Coupeville (1-4, 2-10) hosts South Whidbey (3-2, 10-5) at 6:45 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18.
