The Coupeville tennis team continued its superiority over Friday Harbor by edging the host Wolverines 3-2 Friday and completing a three-match series sweep for the league championship.
Because the ferry was running late Friday, the matches were limited to a single pro-set format.
The Wolves gathered win from first singles Emily Burchfield (8-7[8-6]), second singles Allie Hanigan (8-1) and first doubles Lexi Blanchette and Grayson Akins (8-1).
Burchfield came from behind to force the tiebreaker and defeat Rebecca Leff.
Hanigan “has done nothing but dominate Friday Harbor” this season, according to coach Ken Stange.
Akins subbed in for Blanchette’s usual partner Amanda d’Almeida and the pair didn’t miss a beat in their easy win.
In second doubles, Holly Craggs and Julia Myers saw a 7-3 lead evaporate into a 7-8(6-8) loss.
Maureen Rice and Rachael Parker fell in third doubles 2-8.
The Wolves entertain Lakewood at 3:30 p.m. Monday, April 30.
