Aelizah Espiritu and Emma Wezeman won a tight battle in third doubles to help the Oak Harbor High School tennis team slip by visiting Everett 4-3 Thursday, April 28.

The Oak Harbor duo went to tie-breakers in the first two sets, dropping the first 7-6(4) and winning the second 7-6(7) before taking the third 6-4.

The Wildcats also picked up three wins in singles: Annabelle Whitefoot won 6-2, 6-3; Tamia Rios won 6-3, 6-3; and Chante Powell won 1-6, 6-3, 6-3.

Sarah Smith lost in fourth singles 6-4, 6-1.

Lauren Aspery and Peyton Carlson fell 7-6(2), 6-1 in first doubles; and Brianne Deguzman and Ria Bains lost 6-4, 6-4 in second doubles.

The second-place Wildcats (6-2, 7-7) challenge first-place Arlington (7-0, 11-1) at 3:30 p.m. Monday, May 2, in Oak Harbor.
