The Oak Harbor High School volleyball team won 3-1 at Everett Thursday, Oct. 23, enabling the Wildcats to hang among the conference's top teams as the regular season winds down.

The Oak Harbor High School volleyball team won 3-1 at Everett Thursday, Oct. 23, enabling the Wildcats to hang among the conference’s top teams as the regular season winds down.

The Wildcats (7-3, 7-5) are a half game behind third-place Lynnwood (8-3, 8-5) and one behind second-place Edmonds-Woodway (8-2, 9-3).

Oak Harbor has two matches left. The Wildcats face 11th-place Mountlake Terrace (2-8, 2-10) in the final home match at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27, before finishing the conference season at first-place Shorewood (9-1, 9-4) at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29.

Oak Harbor won at Everett 25-20, 22-25, 25-18, 25-21.

Claire Anderson, once again, paced the Wildcat attack with 20 kills, 15 digs and five aces.

Hailee Blau and Amelia Berner each earned eight kills, while Hailey Beecher dished 20 assists and Natalie McVey 17.

Priya Osborne recorded eight digs and AnnaBelle Whitefoot seven.
