Wildcats run record to 5-0 / Volleyball

After dropping the first game, the Oak Harbor High School volleyball team recovered to win another tough match — this time beating host Edmonds-Woodway 3-1 Thursday, Sept. 20.

The Wildcats remained perfect (5-0) for the season with the tense 16-25, 25-17, 25-23, 25-23 win over the Warriors (1-3).

Leah Quidachay guided the attack with 43 assists, helping Cami Bristow tally a whopping 21 kills. Morgan Pease added 13 kills and Leielle Salinger six.

Ceirra Dean fired five aces, and Bristow and Pease had two each.

Dean also led the defense with 23 digs, while Quidachay and Pease recorded eight and Bristow seven.

Quidachay added a pair of blocks.

Archbishop Murphy (1-4, 2-4) visits Oak Harbor at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25.
