The Wildcats (9-4, 11-6) are one game behind first-place Marysville-Pilchuck (10-3, 13-5) with two games left.

Oak Harbor finishes the regular season with Marysville Getchell (6-7, 10-8). The teams play in Oak Harbor at 4 p.m. Monday, May 4. Marysville Getchell will host the Wildcats at Marysville-Pilchuck High School at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 5.

M-P wraps up the regular season with two games with Stanwood (4-9, 6-12).

The win over Arlington locked up a home game in the first round of the playoffs for Oak Harbor. The district tournament begins at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 9.

Arlington scored three runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to go ahead 3-2, then Oak Harbor answered with a six-run sixth.

All six runs came with two outs. With one out, pinch hitter Clay Doughty singled, then after another out, Danny Wolfe walked. Kevyn Johnson singled, followed by a two-run base hit by C.J. Meders. After Brett Mertins walked, a single by Tyler Snavely and a double by Robert Herring finished the scoring.

Oak Harbor scored a run in the top of the first on consecutive singles by Meders, Mertins and Snavely.

The Wildcats made it 2-0 in the top of the fifth. Meders and Mertins singled, then Meders scored on a ground out by Snavely.

Snavely earned the pitching win. He held the Eagles to one hit heading into the fifth, when Arlington rapped four hits to get its three runs.

Snavely finished with a six-hitter, striking out one and walking one.

Chris Trisler and Wolfe also had hits for the Wildcats.
