Wildcats hold lone home meet today / Swim and dive

The Oak Harbor High School swim and dive team hosts its only home meet of the season today (Thursday, Oct. 11) at 4 p.m. at John Vanderzicht Memorial Pool.

The meet was originally scheduled for Everett, but the Seagulls were willing to move it to Oak Harbor when Vanderzicht Pool recently reopened.

The Wildcats competed in two meets over the past week.

Friday, Oct. 5, Oak Harbor joined four other schools at the Arne Hanna Aquatic Center in Bellingham.

Cascade won the five-team meet with 146 points, followed by Mount Vernon (124), Bellingham (123), Squalicum (100) and Oak Harbor (61).

The meet also served as a dual meet between the Wildcats and Cascade; the Bruins won 119-62.

Tuesday, Oct. 9, Oak Harbor dropped a double-dual meet in Snohomish. Lake Stevens defeated the Wildcats 146-36, and host Glacier Peak beat Oak Harbor 137-43.
