The Oak Harbor High School boys golf team tied for 11th out of 23 teams at the 13th annual Tom Dolan Memorial Invitational at the Everett Golf and Country Club Monday, April 14.

Each school entered five golfers and the top four scores were used to determine the team scores. Archbishop Murphy won the team title with 313 strokes. Oak Harbor finished with 353.

Individually, the Wildcats’ Mac Kerfoot finished 23rd out of 116 golfers with an 81. Trent Jones of Shorecrest and Ben Thacker of Archbishop Murphy led the field with 72s.

Oak Harbor’s Steven Timm shot 88, Aaron Kelley 91, Hunter Adams 93 and Mason Dieter 96.

The EGCC course is narrow, coach David Smith said, and became more difficult when the wind picked up halfway through the round.

“It was the first time three of our golfers had played there; they weren’t familiar with the course,” Smith said.

Oak Harbor hosts the other four Wesco North 3A schools at 2 p.m. Friday, April 18.
