The short-handed Oak Harbor High School swim team lost 95-75 at Mount Vernon Thursday, Jan. 22.

The Wildcats were missing 10 of their 24 swimmers, according to coach Erin Bull.

“Even though we lost by 20, I am really proud of the efforts made by the overall team,” Bull said. “They really stepped up.”

She added that Garth Westcott, Garrett Karney, Tristan Pohlman and Chris Trisler all swam in events they normally wouldn’t to help Oak Harbor pick up team points.
