Wildcat relay team finishes 24th at state | Swimming

Oak Harbor High School’s lone entry in the 3A state swim meet, the 200-yard freestyle relay team, placed 24th at the King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way Friday, Feb. 20.

The Wildcat team of Derek Volk, Eric Jensen, Micah Geist and Joe Gorman clocked a 1:38.49.

Bellevue, which went on to win the overall team title, won the event in 1:26.18.

Mercer Island, coached by Oak Harbor graduate Chauntelle Johnson, placed second in the team standings.
