Wildcat cheer team claims first place

Oak Harbor High School’s Cheer Competition Team captured first place at the WSCCA Championships in the Non-Tumbling – Medium Category. This is the second year in a row the Oak Harbor team has won a state competition under coach Jazmin Jones. On this year’s team were seniors Audrey Moyes, Asya Pressley, Griffin Stein, Annaliza Toliniu, Alyssa Carlon, Haley Thompson and Johanna Asencio-Morcillo; juniors Amber Biller, Francisca Bartlett, Mariah Roach Melany Alanis, Jocelyn Carlon, and; sophmores Cassidy Gore, Tatyana Smith and Leah Murphy. The Oak Harbor High School sailing team finished first and fourth overall in a regatta Oct. 9.
