The 53rd annual Men’s Invitational returns to the Whidbey Golf Club this weekend, May 25-27.

For the fourth time, the tournament will be sponsored by Mountain Mist Spring Water, which has been “the real backbone of this event,” according to WGC pro Dave Phay.

Friday will feature a practice round and a horse race, which will begin at 2:30 p.m.

The first round of the tournament starts at 8 a.m. Saturday, and long drive and chipping contests will be held from 1-5 p.m.

Sunday’s second round tees off at 8 a.m.

Three-time champion Lucas Horrobin will return to defend his title; net champion Bob Merrick will also return, according to Phay.
