The state’s fourth ranked volleyball team, King’s, rolled by host Coupeville 3-0 Tuesday, Oct. 12.

The Wolves played King’s tough the first game before falling 25-19.

Coach Toni Crebbin said, “We played really well and had the scrambling on the other side of the net.”

The Knights, however, took over from there and won the next two sets 25-9, 25-12.

The Wolves’ offense was missing in action and recorded just eight assists.

Crebbin said the Knights (10-0) were missing two starters and mixed up their lineup, coming out with an attack different from what Coupeville prepared for.

Crebbin said, “We adjusted well to them, but we didn’t adjust well to what was happening on our side of the court.”

Coupeville (2-8, 3-8) entertains South Whidbey (4-6) Thursday, Oct. 14, at 7 p.m. The Falcons topped the Wolves in league play earlier this year, and then Coupeville defeated the Falcons at the South Whidbey Tournament.
