Tungate receives USA Swimming honors | NWAC

North Whidbey Aquatic Club swimmer Olivia Tungate was awarded two top-10 certificates by USA Swimming for her performances at the Pacific Northwest Swimming Long Course Championships in Federal Way July 25-28.

North Whidbey Aquatic Club swimmer Olivia Tungate was awarded two top-10 certificates by USA Swimming for her performances at the Pacific Northwest Swimming Long Course Championships in Federal Way July 25-28.

Tungate earned the third-best time in the U.S. for her gold-medal performance in the girls 11-12 200 butterfly, swimming in 2:24.15. In the girls 11-12 400 individual medley, Tungate earned the  No. 10 spot in the U.S. for her silver medal performance, swimming in 5:17.97.

Coach Bill Patterson said, “National rankings like those that Olivia earned are the kind of standards that we aspire toward at NWAC. Olivia’s recognition is well deserved and a reflection of her determination to succeed in the great sport of swimming.”
