Track: Coupeville finishes third

The host Turks won both meets. Sultan put up 72 points, Cedarcrest 63 and Coupeville 45 in the boys contest. On the girls side, it was 88-59-19.

Mitch Pelroy, with two firsts and two seconds, and Tyler King, with two firsts and a second, led the boys.

Pelroy took the 100 meters (12.13) and long jump (18-06.25) and finished second in the 200 (24.84) and 4×400 relay (3:46.27) with King, Will Hoskins and Chase Bates.

King won the 800 (2:02.65) and 1,600 (4:28.54).

Hunter Hammer won the shot (43-07) and was third in the discus (106-03).

For the Coupeville girls, Jai’lysa Hoskins won the 200 (28.58) and was runner up in the 100 (13.65) and 4×200 relay (2:06) with Anna Bailey, Nicole Becker and Arianna Pozzatti.

Kyra Ilyankoff earned a first (shot, 32-03) and second (javelin, 105-10). The only other top five finish by a Coupeville girl was Bailey’s fifth in the 400 (1:10.17).

800: 3, Bates, 2:23.89.

300 hurdles: 5, David Donley, 50.43.

4×100 relay: 3, Garret Franzen, Davion Watkins, Will Hoskins, Donley, 51.74.

Shot: 4, Zach Piercy, 37-09.

Discus: 5, Piercy, 100-02.

Long jump: Will Hoskins, 18.02.25.
