The third annual Tom Roehl Round-ball Classic returns to Coupeville High School at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 22.

The all-island tournament raises money for the Tom Roehl Memorial Scholarship.

Team registration is open (http://www.sports4e.com/seasons/2012-tom-roehl-round-ball-classic) until Dec 21.  Teams are asked to donate $125. The donations can be made online, through the registration process or by email to Noah Roehl (nroehl@tjroehl.com).

Individuals who would like to play but do not have a complete team, can email Noah Roehl to participate.

The game lengths will be determined by the number of teams. The past two years, eight teams took part. Currently, the plan is to have three 15-minute games for seeding, followed by 25-minute games in a single- elimination tournament.

In November, 20 individuals took part in the annual Tom Roehl Turkey Bowl to help raise $500.

Noah Roehl said, “There are many community supporters that have helped make both events possible. Jason Joiner and Windermere Property Management are partnering with us this year on both events and have been a sponsor for the last few years. We also have the continued sponsorship from Schisel Construction, Harada Physical Therapy and DCG engineering. A special thanks to Sherman Farms, Ashley’s Designs and R&R Tree Service for their support again this year, without the help of these community businesses, neither of these events would be possible.”

Roehl said there are still two sponsorship spaces available and interested parties can contact him.
