Tigers use big second half to stop Wolves / Soccer

Granite Falls erupted for three second-half goals to beat the Coupeville High School soccer team 4-1 Thursday, Sept. 27, at Mickey Clark Field.

The Wolves’ Lindsey Roberts scored in the first half as the teams went into the break at 1-1.

“It was a tough, physical match and I really liked the way the girls responded even though we didn’t get the win,” coach Kyle Nelson said.

Coupeville (1-4, 1-7-1) travels to first-place King’s (5-0, 7-1) for a 6 p.m. match Tuesday, Oct. 2.
