The Oak Harbor High School soccer team missed out on an opportunity to move into a tie for second place in the Wesco 3A North standings by battling to a 0-0 draw at Marysville Getchell Friday, April 19.

The Oak Harbor High School soccer team missed out on an opportunity to move into a tie for second place in the Wesco 3A North standings by battling to a 0-0 draw at Marysville Getchell Friday, April 19.

The Wildcats also slipped up in a nonleague match Saturday, losing to Arlington 3-2 in Wildcat Memorial Stadium.

Oak Harbor (3-5-1, 4-7-1) could have tied Getchell (4-4-1, 4-7-1) for second with a win. The second-place team earns a home match in the first round of the district playoffs.

Mason Herring, Mauricio Sanchez and Seigo Hall all scored for Arlington (1-8-3) as the Eagles won their first match of the season.

Gavin Stewart and Kyle Truex, with an assist from Matt Jensen, scored for Oak Harbor.

The Wildcats play Everett (0-7-2, 0-9-3) at home at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 23.
